About Us
What is
Life Right
The Life Right scheme grants residents exclusive use of a unit throughout their lifetime, contingent upon health.
A Life Right purchase allows you and your spouse/partner (if applicable) to reside in a specific unit for the entirety of your lives as occupants. In the case of joint occupants, rights to the unit cease upon the passing of the second occupant (spouse/partner).
ADVANTAGES
Of a Life Right
Life Rights ownership is an investment in lifestyle, security, and peace-of-mind, offering a cost-effective option for entering a retirement community that caters to current and future needs.
No ‘transfer of property’ occurs with a Life Right purchase, thus no bond registration, transfer fees, or VAT are payable.
Occupants are not responsible for general maintenance and upkeep.
Upon termination of the Life Right due to either the relocation of the occupant outside the Village, or the passing of the occupant (or last spouse/partner), the unit reverts to Pinewood Trust for resale.
The deceased’s estate or previous occupant receives either the original purchase price or a portion thereof (subject to terms in the Life Right Agreement).
